“The Regal Sisterhood” is an organization, which seeks to promote reading among women and their families. The reading club was founded in October 2005 on the premise of fostering new friendships around a common activity--- reading. Embracing the concept of “Sisterhood” within our organization and creating a unified literary circle!
“The Regal Sisterhood” is devoted to providing an avenue for women to come together for common and primary goals...reading, learning and socializing. We will also be able to fellowship and network with one another. We love and respect each other as women...therefore; we can agree to disagree in ideology as it pertains to book discussions. Understanding that as humans, we are not the same in mind, body, spirit or soul.
A summary of what the “The Regal Sisterhood Book Club”, embraces:
· Purpose: We get together to chat, listen, reflect, renew, debate, learn, teach and yes, eat! We have the opportunity to discuss books in a friendly forum, while broadening our literary knowledge and being introduced to books/authors we may not normally be exposed to.
· Giving: All of who “You” are. Members are encouraged to enjoy yourself and others in the group. Free to openly express your feelings, honestly. No one professes to be an expert "literary critic"; we are all learning, as we are enjoying the entertainment of literary art. Our minds are being opened to various genres and ideas. Sharing is our key method of exposure to things new and fresh!
· Your Gift: Members receive a wealth of literary information and create friendships with other women from various backgrounds. It is our desire that the bonding and literary lessons will prove to be valuable to the members and their families for years to come.
